Bring Back McDonald's Onion Nuggets

So I made a call to McDonald’s and asked them if onion nuggets were available in any location. The representative I talked to told me he had never heard of them before, and so I started to fear that our dream was dying or already dead. He then told me he found a reference to them in the system—some footnote or something. All it said was “text removed from menu in ‘79”. He wasn’t sure about the date, but that was his best guess (I guess it was a scanned form or something printed). I asked him if there were any “plans to bring onion nuggets back.” He told me if their only mention was a footnote on some page, there were probably no plans to bring them back.

So, loyal fans and want-to-be fans, all we can do is hope…but the outlook, to quote an 8-ball, is not good.
